Our guide was amazing. William is of the Maasai tribe, and went to school for wildlife management. He knows all the names (scientific & common) of all the things pictured here... Unfortunately I don't. But he told us stories of all the mating habits, housing, hunting, even poo. A veritable David Attenborough!
Can you guess what this first one is?

See William's beads, typical Maasai handicraft - everyone wears them.
William learned a lot of what he knows about tracking and wildlife in college, but he also learned a good deal from shepherding with his father when he was growing up.
Wild hartebeast in the distance:

Rare: a human encounter.
Not so rare: an elephant encounter.

to take a stab at the question you posed: excrement?
